Apple Pencil USB-C: Everything you Need to Know! Review

Introduction:

Hi everyone, this is Gadget Ge. Apple has recently expanded its range of digital pens for its beloved iPads by adding this Apple Pencil USB-C. Its catalog now offers a total of three options to choose from. We shouldn't expect revolutions, but there are certainly some updates that could make a difference, especially for those who already own an iPad.

Before delving into the details, I want to let you know that at first glance, the features of this new addition might cause a bit of confusion for those considering the purchase of a new Apple Pencil. So, in this video, I want to briefly explain its specifications, functions, and help you understand if this Apple Pencil is the right choice for you.

Firstly, let's start by unboxing the new Apple Pencil. Apple has always presented it in a simple, minimalistic, yet incredibly well-structured box. Inside, we find the usual manual packaged in cardboard, and underneath, our digital pen carefully wrapped in a layer of paper. Beyond the theatrical appearance, I must say that the box is well-designed to preserve the elegance of the pen until it reaches our hands.

However, an important aspect to note is that you won't find various cables or adapters inside the package, a detail that personally surprised me, as using the pen requires a USB-C cable for pairing, prompting those without one to make a separate purchase.

Taking the pen in hand, we immediately notice that its design is remarkably similar to the second-generation Apple Pencil, which unfortunately I don't have here to show you due to budget constraints. It has a flat base, useful to prevent the pen from rolling away when placed on a flat surface, but also very comfortable to grip and use.

As for its dimensions and weight, they are also similar to the second-generation Apple Pencil, but quite different from the first-generation Apple Pencil. The materials are always of excellent quality, and to the touch, it gives a particular sensation—the fingers slide.

Basic:

Smoothly on the Pen's surface seeming almost smooth, yet there is a pleasant mix of paracity that contributes to a more secure grip this feature adds a slight friction making the fingers adhere better to the pen without compromising the smoothness of movement, but the uniqueness of this pen focuses on its connection.

This Apple Pencil is equipped with a USB port located at the base of the pen here we notice the presence of a well-designed cap that lifts and lowers to allow the insertion of the USB cable not only does it serve this practical function, but it also acts as a kind of protective cover preserving the USB.

Port from dust and dirt that could compromise the connection the cap doesn't detach as it does in the first generation pen which is very useful for those like me who tend to misplace it frequently it is solid designed to last and slides with a satisfying click in its movement with that said how does it work and how do you connect it to pair.

The Apple Pencil you simply need to activate the iPad's Bluetooth connection open the cap at the base of the pen and connect the USB cable to both the pen and the iPad in a few moments the tablet will automatically recognize the presence of the Apple Pencil and synchronize with it this way we can also recharge the pen and use it for writing at the same time.

Moving on to the functionalities of this Apple Pencil when used with the iPad they are essentially similar to its other counterparts, the writing is precise and smooth the sensitivity is significantly High and the latency is almost imperceptible allowing us to perform any writing task on.

The iPad without inconvenience or limitations additionally the flat base of the pen allows for magnetic attachment to the side of the iPad, but it does not support wireless charging like the second generation moreover being equipped with a USB connector this pen is compatible with all iPad models featuring a USB port a feature that significantly.

Features:

Its versatility however it's important to note a disadvantage compared to other generations namely the lack of pressure sensitivity briefly for those not familiar with it this function allows us to control the thickness and intensity of the stroke based on the force applied to the tip on the screen.

Surface in simpler terms imagine being able to adjust the width of your line by varying the pressure while drawing or writing here's the point I believe this feature is particularly valuable and useful for artists and illustrators as it allows them to create thin or thick lines and add realistic shading to their works.

So if you're passionate about drawing or digital artistic creation the absence of this function might make this pen not the right choice for you however for more standard and everyday use the Apple Pencil USB still delivers excellent performance that being said for whom is the Apple Pencil USB most suitable and more importantly worth the purchase.

We can say that the choice depends primarily on the model of iPad you own as each version of the Apple Pencil is compatible with specific devices considering its lower cost compared to its counterparts we can define this pen as an economical and ideal option for new devices with a USB Port as we've seen its writing performance is remarkable making it an excellent choice for those seeking a pen mainly for writing purposes however for those who make more intensive use of advanced features such as pressure sensitivity for drawing it might be wiser to.

Conclusion:

Consider the second generation of the Apple Pencil the final decision will depend on your specific needs and priorities personally if budget is not an issue I would opt for the second generation considering its more convenient charging and additional features like the double tap making it a more complete and versatile pen.

However, if you own an iPad compatible only with the first generation or with the Apple Pencil USB like my 10th generation iPad the Apple Pencil USB thanks to the updates received offers a more functional and pleasant experience in our hands even if it might not be the ideal.

Choice for professional drawing this may still lead you to choose the equally valid first generation Apple Pencil, so consider your needs before making your final decision and with that the Post concludes comment to the post and leave a free like for future Tech updates until next time.
